Caption: Date: 1970-04 Location: Nepalganj, Banke Description: The remains of a Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation (RNAC) plane that had crashlanded at the airport almost one year earlier. Since then, the plane had been cannibalized for parts and this fuselage is all that remained. Almost a year earlier, the crashed plane had damaged its landing gear on an attempted landing in Surkhet and had returned to Nepalganj to attempt a landing on its belly. On landing, the plane turned sharply to the left shearing off both engines, but no one was hurt.
