Caption: Date: 1969-1971
Location: Hile, Dhankuta
Description: Hile's head Lama, inside the temple on Hile's main street (to the southwest side of the village). He is sitting with his son. He conducted regular pujas in this temple. The blueish metal case is an old American first aid kit that he had traded for; on top of it is Tibetan prayer book. The Lama had a remarkably strong presence. He was reserved but always friendly.
