Date: 1966-09 Location: Hemaja, Kaski Description: Washing clothes using a water system devised by Swiss engineers as a payment for land that the village gave to the UN for the settlement of Tibetan refugees. Spring water has been diverted from across the Yamdi Khola and is brought to three village locations by rubber pipes. This water hose is in the middle village. People get their household water here as well as shower and wash clothes.
