Caption: Date: 1969-04 Location: Dailekh Description: This photo was taken in Kanpar, Uttar Pradesh, India Metal workers shown bending ½” stringers in preparation for their being trucked north to the Indian border at Nepalganj. Stringers had been cut to varied custom lengths and threaded at one end to permit metal plates to be bolted under the deck frame units for Rawutkot’s (Dailekh) Chamghat River suspension bridge.
