Caption: Date: 1968-05 Location: Birendranagar, Surkhet Description: Peace Corps Volunteers Bill Gierasch (white shirt) (Nepal 10) and John Greer (pink shirt) ( Nepal 14) on their way to the airport to see Bill Gierasch off to Kathmandu at the end of his two-year tour. The view is looking west northwest towards the main chowk (center, intersection) (about 150 yards ahead) where another road angles off to the right. As a road surveyor, Bill Gierasch helped to mark the edges of the roads as designed in the town plan of Birendranadgar. A year and a half earlier, there were only two houses built within the frame of this photo.
