Caption: Date: 1969 Location: Birendranagar, Surkhet Description: House under construction just north of the main chowk (intersection on the main street) of Birendranagar. The 26-mile trekking trail north to Dailekh climbs the far hill to crest at the very top of the far hill (altitude about 2,350 meters). That trail has since been replaced by a one-lane unpaved road giving trucks and buses access to Dailekh bazaars from Surkhet.
