Caption: Date: 1966-1968 Location: Biruwa, Parsa Description: Boys fishing at the irrigation ditch and small pond at the entrance to Biruwa, which is west of Jitpur (at the junction with the hardtop road that leads to Birgunj) and just to the east of Biruwa Guthi. The picture is taken from the east, as the road enters the village. The white structures in the center of the village belonged to the large landowner who lived in this village, Madan Singh, K.C. The thatched roof houses that surround these structures housed many of those who worked for him. Bullocks center, right. Gourds on thatched roofs to the left, front.
