Caption: Date: 1966-1968 Location: Biruwa Guthi, Parsa Description: Weekly market. Cutting up a goat for meat. Goat or goats would be brought to the market and tied to a pole. A goat would be killed by slitting the neck; those at the market would ask for various parts of the goat for meat and the butcher would carve out the requested part of the goat. All parts of the goat were sold, including the head and the hooves. If more meat was needed, a second goat was killed.
