Caption: Date: 1966-1967 Location: Biruwa Guthi, Parsa Description: Two boys in front of bullock cart filled with bones from dead cows that were taken across the border into India to be processed for fertilizer. When an animal died, the vultures and jackals and dogs would consume the carcass within 24 hours, leaving just the bones behind. Twice a year, low caste people would travel through the area to pick up the bones and take them to India.
