On the skyline is the Jagadamba Rani guesthouse. Peace Corps Volunteer Charles Bailey lived in three rooms on the upper floor of the tin-roofed building, center. A dentist practiced in the ground floor. A policeman and part time Dhami-Jankri lived in the lowest level of this building accessible from the downhill (back) side. The building to the left is the tea shop belonging to the family of Kashi Nath Tamrakar, the town postmaster.
