Caption: Date: 1967 Location: Bharatpur, Chitwan Description: Pitauji Ghat on the Narayani River below Narayanghat. Boat for hauling logs across the Narayani River is being unloaded. Logs on the far side are suspended from poles across the boat and brought to the near (east) side. Sal (Shorea robusta) logs will not float when freshly cut.
