The bridge consists of four load carrying chain-link cables which are fixed to large anchor blocks on both sides of the river. The anchor blocks are made of layers of flat stone. No cement was used and the chain-link iron cable was fabricated in the community. Between 1975-1978 the people of Baglung built 62 of these traditional bridges using their own materials and technology.
