Caption: Date: 1968-12 Location: Mustang Description: This is a substantial cantelever bridge being built along the main trail between Jomsom and Pokhara in southern Mustang. The rumor at the time was that it was being built by the Khampas, the last defenders of Tibet against Chinese occupaation who escorted the Dalai Lama on his escape to India.
