Caption: Date: 1965-08-04 Location: Chiti, Lamjung Description: The two women come from a higher elevation village that grew potatoes. They were going door-to-door selling potatoes in Tiwaridanda. Potatoes were carried in the basket to the left. The potatoes are weighed in the small flat basket attached to the balance-scales held by the woman. A man is putting his potatoes in an empty kerosene tin. Chiti did not have a food shop or bazaar and thus this was one way to obtain potatoes.
