The argument consists partly of hurling verbal abuse, partly of turning around, picking up a handful of dirt and throwing it between the legs at the opponent. The latter is considered unusually rude and nasty. Such a gesture is not easily forgiven, whereas the verbal insults can be soon forgotten and life can continue.
