Caption: Date: 1971 Location: Mechinagar, Jhapa Description: Classic example of a stilt house. It was in Dhulabari which was merged in 1999 with Kakarvitta to form Mechinagar municipality. The house was constructed of sal wood with galvanized, corrugated steel hip roof. Windows had shutters and steel bars.
