Caption: Date: 1976 Location: Arjundhara, Jhapa Description: A former stilt house that has been modernized by enclosing the lower level with stuccoed brick walls. The house recently was wired for electrical service (see pole and wire to the left). The upper level was constructed of sal wood with galvanized, corrugated steel hip roof. Windows had a mixture of paneled and glass shutters. The lower level was still under construction.
