Caption: Date: 1970-1971 Location: Sakhuwa Parsauni, Parsa Description: In a Tharu village. Typical village scene. Man at left is brushing his teeth with a twig pulled from a tree. The man holding the young child sports the everpresent towel on his shoulder. The basins in the background are used for feeding cattle: fodder (e.g., grass from outside the village, unripe corn if it was in season) would be chopped and placed in the basin along with water and the cattle would feed from them. Two nice ox carts in the scene. Keywords: John Vail, Nepal Photo History Project, Peace Corp Photo History, People, bullock cart, landscape, ox cart, town, transportation, village
