To her left, on the bed, is a wooden trough for soaking the reeds to soften them so they can be woven. She and the other woman are in typical female village garb--sari with no chola. Note the handprints on the house and a small structure on the wall for holding a lamp. The structure behind the woman weaving is a granary.
