Caption: Date: 1970-1971 Location: Sakhuwa Parsauni, Parsa Description: In Shripur, a Tharu village. A woman sits on a typical Nepali bed, weaving baskets. To her left, on the bed, is a wooden trough for soaking the reeds to soften them so they can be woven. She and the other woman are in typical female village garb--sari with no chola. Note the handprints on the house and a small structure on the wall for holding a lamp. The structure behind the woman weaving is a granary.
