Date:1975-06 Location: Dhorpatan, Baglung Description: Men waiting for the clinic/hospital to open. The small clinic/hospital in the Dhorpatan valley was run for a period by a Tibetan Dr. and a Canadian Dr. Stephen Bezruchka with the help of former Peace Corps Volunteer Mary Murphy. Operations were done using flashlights for light, tools sterilized in a pressure cooker in the wood burning fireplace in a room with a dirt floor and wooden benches as operating tables.
