Description: Large brass drums are rolled ceremoniously through the main street of the bazaar as part of the Gai Jatra ceremony, a part of Lakhe Jatra. One of the largest events of the year, it features the "Lakhe," figures dressed in colorful clothing, prancing wildly and scaring children. They are said to represent evil.
