Description: The weekly market (haat). These two Sherpanis came down from the "lekh" several hours' trek north of Bhojpur. They are selling "shergem," basically curds. They also press and dry it into a hard substance that you chew on. To their right, you can see the goodies brought up from the south to sell by Newari women: spices, eggs, soap, candy, sugar, thread.
