Date: 1971 Location: Budhabare, Jhapa Description: Workers are breaking up the clumps left by plowing the reclaimed jungle land prior to planting rice. The many trees in the background are evidence of how recently this area was deforested and brought into production agriculture. The soil was quite fertile.
