Description: In Helambu area, woman winnows and sifts rice for chaff and stones. To the left of her is a device for husking rice. Two people operate it, one standing behind it with their foot on the teeter-totter like wooden arm to which is attached a wooden or metal piece which fits into a carved hole in a large rock. The second person puts unhusked grain into the hole and continually scoops it into the hole as the arm rises and falls into it.
