Description: Man and daughter selling suntala (oranges). In the 1960's you could buy 30 - 40 for a rupee. Once I bought an entire basketful for 4 rupees and the seller had to carry them an hour to my home. In the mid 70's they were 4-6 for a rupee. A bad blight decimated the crop and trees in the late 70's. Keywords: Nepal Photo History Project, Peace Corp Photo History, Peter Von Mertens, commerce, market (haat)
