Location: Rara, Mugu
Description: Porters cooking their morning meal along Mugu Karnali. Typically porters would rise early and start walking with their loads of 60 to 100 pounds. Occasionally they would get a cup of tea but generally not. Then around 9:00 AM they would stop by a water source to cook rice, dahl, and maybe some green vegtable (often nettles was all they could find). A second meal was cooked at the end of the day.
