Description: Tibetan woman prepares tea at chulo (stove). She and her family - husband, children and grandmother - escaped Tibet in the early 1960's and established a small community with other Tibetans at Hile. She was much admired for her gracefulness and honesty. Their hard work paid off as their small bamboo home was later enlarged and built of wood sold for over 3 million rupees at which time they moved to Bouddhanath in Kathmandu.
