The Narayani Kala Mandir was founded in Narayanghat on 1st Poush 2018 (December 15, 1961) as a local organization based in Chitwan; it has subsequently built a performance hall in Narayanghat and grown into perhaps Nepal’s leading folk and cultural arts ensemble, producing several of Nepal’s most distinguished contemporary cultural artists and performing at the national and international levels as well as widely in Nepal.
