Date: 1965-12 Location: Bharatpur, Chitwan Description: Chitwan High School under construction (later named Chitwan Higher Secondary School). New wing is being constructed in 1965. In late 1965 this was the shared location of Sri Birendra Intermediate College. College classes met at night in the same facility. Peace Corps Volunteer Ron Ranson taught there too. The only problem with those night classes is that there were sometimes tigers roaming around outside on the college grounds after classes. There were several occasions when students spent the night sleeping on the benches as there were tigers growling outside.
