Date: 1973-12 Location: Kathmandu, Kathmandu Description: New Road, looking east, early in the morning. In the late 60s and 70s, New Road was a popular place for people of all walks of life to meet after work - about 5 PM each day. In those times and during the day, the very few cars in Kathmandu could park in the center of New Road. There was no such thing as traffic. In the evenings about 5 PM New Road was mobbed - sidewalk to sidewalk full of men and women meeting each other and exchanging news and perhaps gossip.
