Date: 1967 Location: Santapur, Rautahat Description: The land reform officer visited Santapur for a meeting with farmers from al over the area to reinforce the laws about land reform. Outside one of his armed body guards was attacked by a bullock and driven under this cart and his lower leg was broken. Peace Corps Volunteer Steve Mott was able to set and splint the leg and he was taken off to a "doctor". Months later he was seen with his leg at a bizarre angle, so the cement cast was not properly applied.
