Caption: Date: 1969 Location: Yaku, Bhojpur Description: House of the late Vishnu Lal Dhakal. Vishnu Lal Dhakal (1895-1965) was the most influential person of his time in Yaku Birta. During the time of Rana government, he was District Administrator (Bada Hakim) Jhapa District. He later left government service and supported the Congress Party. He married twice and had 17 children, eight sons his and two daughters by two first wife, and two sons and five daughters by his second wife. The two wives lived in separate houses, the first wife, in Yaki Birta and the second in Khesang, two kilometres to the west. His house in Yaku Birta with three living levels and metal roof was the first of this class in the area. He was a very observant Hindu. He had constructed a dharmasala in the village, and in 1950, as soon as the Rana Government allowed the estabishment of schools in Nepal, he started a primary school first housed in the dharmasala, which grew over the years to become Viswa Premi High School in 1965.
