Caption: Date: 1971-03 Location: Rawutkot, Dailekh Description: Villagers preparing to raise twin 18 foot towers on the south side of a 150 foot suspension bridge spanning the Chamghat River. The towers were constructed as one unit with cross beams and angle stay pieces to square them. They were inserted, as one unit, into steel footings bolted to a concrete and stone foundation and slowly raised using a pulley attached to the wooden scaffold mechanism fixed as a lever angled out over the riverbed.
