Caption: Date: 1969-05 Location: Nepalganj, Banke Description: Two oxcarts being loaded with custom-designed metal parts for Rawutkot’s (Dailekh) Chamghat River suspension bridge. After clearing customs at the Indian border, stringers and anchor rods have been loaded to the left oxcart while a steel tower footing is being loaded to the right oxcart. After porting the loads the seven miles to the Nepalganj airport, they were flown by air freight on Royal Nepal Airlines the 30 miles to Surkhet before being portered the two days’ trek from the Surkhet airport to Rawutkot.
