Caption: Date: 1966-1968 Location: Biruwa, Parsa Description: The village of Biruwa is west of Jitpur (at the junction with the hardtop road that leads to Birgunj) and just to the east of Biruwa Guthi. The picture was taken from the house of the large landowner who lived in this village, Madan Singh, K.C. It was taken toward the north and the jungle that runs east-west in Nepal's Terai region with Nepal's foothills in the back. The thatched roof houses in the foreground housed many of those who worked for the landowner. The green crop in the background is rice. The water body to the right may be a small fish pond.
