Caption: Date: 1966-1968 Location: Biruwa, Parsa Description: The village of Biruwa is west of Jitpur (at the junction with the hardtop road that leads to Birgunj) and just to the east of Biruwa Guthi. The picture is taken from the east, toward the west. The white structures in the center of the village belonged to the large landowner who lived in this village, Madan Singh, K.C. The thatched roof houses that surround these structures housed many of those who worked for him. The green on the thatched roofs are vegetable plants. The green crop in front is rice.
