Biruwa Guthi is a small village west of Jitpur, which is on the hardtop road that leads to Birgunj. The house was occupied by two Peace Corps Volunteers from October 1966 to May, 1967, and one Volunteer continued to live there until August 1968. The sign right front indicates that this house is the panchayat headquarters. The house was one room with a covered front porch; it had clay tiled roof and walls were mixture of clay, dung and straw.
